Dear XXX -
I am so sick of reading your updates about how great god has made your life. If you really want to live a christ-like way, why not spend even one of the hours you spend at church for Mom’s Group or Couple’s Group or Women’s Group volunteering at a soup kitchen?
Instead of sharing how god has made all of your worry bubbles pop because of god, why don’t you drive one of your family’s 4 cars to a homeless shelter and help people who have real things to worry about?
Instead of posting links questioning how god can let human trafficking happen in the Twin Cities, why don’t you leave your cookie cutter suburban enclave and spend some time with kids at The Bridge who have no home to go to?
Instead of spending $6000+ so you and your husband can go on a missionary trip to Swaziland, why don’t you donate that money to a local charity to help people in your own neighborhood, community, state, region?
Instead of supporting republican politicians who are doing everything possible to deny gays their equal rights, why not talk to your daughter and find out how she feels about it? You may support her at home, but what are you really telling her when you vote for people who view her as a second class citizen?
I’m sick of your ‘holier-than-thou’ attitude. Being religious is not the same as being moral. I don’t need a church or a god to tell me that I should treat others kindly and with respect, that I should be thankful for what I have, and that life is too short to spend talking to an imaginary friend.
Thanks for listening.
